The Beginning
The Home Store was founded in early 2006 by the Dunlap family. The founder’s vision of offering products previously unavailable in Northern Ohio came to fruition when they began wholesaling to local builders, remodelers, designers and interior decorators. Initially, their only product was flooring – approximately 110 SKUs – offering quality laminate, engineered wood and premium solid wood exotics at a price point significantly below average retail. Within two and a half short years, the business has grown into a wholesale and distribution company offering over 112 manufacturer lines, including accessories.
From the start, associates were able to offer the best customer service in the industry, guiding customers through projects such as layout and design of their dream kitchen or bath... to a finished, high quality room - without the cost.
According to the Dunlap's; “An educated consumer makes better buying decisions. We take the time to explain the details; we show our customers what they are buying and how to save money on the overall project. Our customers trust our advice, because it works! ”
